U and the UFO.

I have always been fascinated with space and the idea of life outside this planet. It's a big and complicated topic that leaves a lot of room for exploration of ideas. The variations that life could express itself as, the multiple elemental bases that life could form from and the ways that technologies could have developed. I am going to focus on one particular scenario today around one historical incident. I don't fully believe this idea but it's one that have been kicking around in my head since I was a kid.

Today we are talking about Roswell New Mexico. This is the granddaddy of UFO conspiracy topics which makes it a fun playground for thought. I do personally believe that we did recover something from out of this world or even this dimension there. I don't think the witnesses at Roswell were lying or unable to reconcile a weather balloon that they saw. Balloon technologies are as old as the civil war. People saw something very strange there and described something very strange. The Roswell Daily Record posted this on the front page of their newspaper as the first official reporting of the story.

There are multiple things in this story that stand out to me. The biggest being that the Army swooping in to cover up the wreckage of a destroyed weather balloon doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The history of UFO sightings is very long and storied. There are a lot of myths and people seeking publicity but there is definitely some themes and repeating patterns amongst the tales. The Romans talk about them and we even have a very strange depiction of a battle between UFOs in the sky over Nuremberg in 1561.

A small sample of the description. “Besides the globes flew back and forth among themselves and fought vehemently with each other for over an hour. And when the conflict in and again out of the sun was most intense, they became fatigued to such an extent that they all, as said above, fell from the sun down upon the earth 'as if they all burned' and they then wasted away on the earth with immense smoke.”

So now that I have laid out the groundwork of the theme, what I often think about is the danger of utilizing the technologies we recover from these “crafts”. There is a real inherent danger with utilizing technologies we do not understand and did not make ourselves. I am very religious by nature and see a great deception in the idea that we could have received these technologies free of cost. If we do or really have reversed engineered this technology we could be forging our own chains for another race. Why would another species so advanced allow us to gain access to these technologies? They have been here as long as the human race has recorded history. They do seem to have factions that fight amongst each other. Why are we assuming benevolence or malice? I would assume either and wouldn't trust them an inch. The history of more technologically advanced peoples interacting with another people lower on the tech scale is devastating for the non-advanced people. This definitely a small sample and one species measurement however it isn't scientific or wise to assume the alternative when interacting with a more advanced species. We couldn't really trust anything they say, they would have the ability and intelligence to present themselves however they wanted to suit their goals. The history of mankind in mythology and tales shows that these alternate species or even demons do not have our best interests at heart. It sounds silly but we are in a world that has a consistent theme of these mythological beings being mentioned as warnings to future generations. I do not believe we should take any fruit from this tree.
